US National Climate Assessment: Cherry-picking data

A great way to convince people that there is a significant change in climate is to present misleading data. The (US) National Climate Assessment has done just that. Look at the increase in the number of heat waves in the USA:

Going back 50 years, the number of heatwaves has steadily increased. True, but cherry-picking. If the data are presented since 1895, the picture changes significantly.

Cherry picking data to demonstrate a false picture of incidence of heat waves is a disgusting way to deceive the public.
